'Till The White Rose

t was raining.  It was raining  steady  and strong.  It was the kind of rain welcomed by those who like rain.   The raindrops bounced off his face and they felt good, cool and refreshing.  It seemed very appropriate for this particular day to be a rainy day.  A happy rainy day.

After so many years of being alone and not being able to find the woman of his dreams for the second time; today was the day.  It was on this rainy day  he met Angelica.  He had seen her many times before at The Local Pub.  The Pub was a country western dancing place.  Not a bar or saloon, but a decent place where people  liked to dance to country western songs.  They  gathered three times a week and sometimes more days of the week than that.  But, for him, being able to see her did not matter what day of the week it was. For some reason, that winding road always disappeared from his grasp and he would no longer feel her presence.  He would no longer experience the sweetness of  her  closeness.

Lacking the feel of her beautiful eyes meeting his, turned everything into night.  He felt more alone than before.  It was at those moments that the rain was insult   to his face.  It was those moments that made the days long and the nights darker than before. He awaited anxiously and impatiently for the next day; the next time to see her again.  Just to see her one more time.  Just to feel all those wonderful feelings of love  and happiness within him.

Time and time again he would wind up seeing her at the end of the winding road.  Her silky hair flowing on the wind and as she went by, the white roses would bloom at her sight.  The air would be  filled with her  presence, much like flowers filled  the air with their  fragrance.  At times, he would
